North East London consists of a relatively narrow strip of land east of the Lea Valley, roughly following the route of the All and then M11 towards northern Essex.

Much of the land was heavily forested until the last few centuries. Bandits ruled here until civilisation (and law) spread out from the centre.

North East London may not receive as much attention as its more glamorous neighbours.
