Lorgues is a commune in the Var department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in southeastern France.
Lorgues is located in the middle of wineries and fields of olive trees. It is in the center of the department of the Var between the Mediterranean Sea and the Gorges du Verdon. The village centre has a very large open-air market every Tuesday for fish, poultry, meat, fruit, vegetables, pastries, clothes and other products, which is very popular with locals, tourists and residents of other nearby villages.
A number of religious buildings, ruins, olive oil mills, and ancient facades appear under the shaded courts and along the winding streets of the town. Bordered by two rivers, with sloping hills and terraced planting, the land around is also full of little hamlets, chapels and varied vegetation.
