Étel is a commune in the Morbihan department of Brittany in north-western France. Inhabitants of Étel are called in French Étellois.

Nestled at the entrance to the Ria Étel this coastal town and family is a haven of peace where maritime and natural heritage coexist beautifully.

Sights include:

• The bar Étel: natural phenomenon that owes its name to an underwater sandbar at the mouth of the estuary of Étel. It is formed in rising or falling tide, disappears at high tide and dries up to 2 m at low tide and moves with the winds and currents.
• The museum of Tuna: small museum of nature, intimate and evolving. The Museum of tuna traces the history of the estuary and its Étel tuna port. 5 rooms offer over 450 sqm a visit with authenticity and emotion. Open from Easter to All Saints + Exhibition nurseries shipping mid-December to late January.
• The port and the semaphore: old harbor of tuna from the Atlantic coast, is today Étel a port renowned marina. At the entrance of the Ria is the semaphore, small house with his Fenoux mast, which guides ships to cross the Étel bar.
• Former lifeboat Patron Emile Daniel emblematic boat of the city, you can visit for free local and embark on a stroll (compulsory membership).
• The Simon Treh smuggler can reach Plouhinec since Étel. Runs daily from Easter to September: from 9h to 13h and 15h to 19h (Tuesday from 9h to 14h and 16h to 19h). Crossing demand (stand on the pontoon). Ticket on board. Free bikes.
