Tarascon-sur-Ariège is a commune in the Ariège department in southwestern France. It is situated in the Ariège valley on the N20 between Toulouse and Andorra.
The town is a convenient place to stay when exploring the central Pyrenees and has several good supermarkets and reasonably-priced hotels.
There are many spectacular waterfalls in this area, especially after rainfall.
