Lys-Haut-Layon is a commune in the Maine-et-Loire department of western France. The municipality was established on 1 January 2016 and consists of the former communes of Vihiers (including Saint-Hilaire-du-Bois and Le Voide), Les Cerqueux-sous-Passavant, La Fosse-de-Tigné, Nueil-sur-Layon, Tancoigné, Tigné and Trémont.
The Château de Maupassant, in Vihiers, delegated municipality of Lys-Haut-Layon, is once again opening its doors to visitors. If it has nothing to do with the writer, it is still worth the detour! This area has a long story to tell.
