The resort known as Playa de Palma refers to the 6km long stretch of Majorca's central south coast running from C'an Pastillain the west, around the Bay of Palma, to the resort of El Arenal in the east. Geographically the centre of the resort is some 10km east of the capital, Palma, and at its nearest point, less than 2km from the runway of the Son Sant Joan International airport.
Just south of the Majorcan capital, Playa de Palma's golden coastline is lined by luxury hotels, international restaurants, and lively bars. Popular with revelers, the resort strip also offers water sports facilities and easy access to the airport, making it a convenient hub for any sunseeker.
