Encamp is one of the parishes of Andorra, located on the Riu Valira d'Orient, and was once connected by a 6.2-km-long cable car to Lake Engolasters. It is also the name of a town in the parish. Other localities include Vila, el Tremat, la Mosquera and Les Bons. It has about 12,500 inhabitants. The center of the municipality lies 1,300 meters above sea level. In the locality is the Pic (peak) des Pessons (9,400 ft).
Encamp's economy is mostly supplemented by tourism, particularly skiing and hiking. There are also facilities for generating hydro-electric power.
