The commune of Tourgéville stretches out lengthways from the beach to the heart of the Pays d’Auge countryside. To the north, the beach that runs from Deauville to Bénerville-sur-Mer is highly popular. Horses can be seen galloping there in the morning and the evening. And the sunset over the English Channel is simply magnificent.
Access to the beach is via Avenue de la Terrasse and its perpendicular streets. There is a charged car park at the roundabout that links Avenue de la Terrasse with Boulevard Cornuché. Free parking spaces are also available in the narrow adjacent streets.
Animals are not permitted from 10am to 7pm, all year. Dogs can be walked if kept on a leash.
The beach is under lifeguard surveillance from 1st July to 31st August, every day from 11.30am to 6.30pm. Lifeguard post located at the limit between Bénerville-sur-Mer and Tourgéville.
The former name of Glatigny was populated in Gallo-Roman times and has developed over the centuries in the shadow of Deauville and its famous plates. Village of charm, Tourgéville nevertheless has an interesting heritage, as well as many places of leisure to enjoy the sea and its landscapes.
Manors, golf, churches and other dream beaches are on the program of this town with certain charm and important tourist activity. Its proximity with some of the most beautiful Norman towns gives it an ideal location to spend pleasant holidays in the heart of the Pays d'Auge.
