Quézac

Quézac is a French commune in the department of Cantal, located in the south-eastern region of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.

During the 10th century, it was the seat of a Benedictine abbey.

Notre-Dame de Quézac was built in the first years of the 14th century, as evidenced by the charter of consecration, dated May 20, 1315, a charter which was deposited under the high altar, with holy relics enclosed in a reliquary. money remarkable from the point of view of seniority and work.

Notre Dame de Quézac houses an altar of the Virgin made of the 18th century gilded wood. You can admire the magnificent paintings (half marouflages, half paintings), which was endowed with the sanctuary in 1926-1928. Beautiful stained glass windows, numbering 40, crown the whole thing.
