Liérganes is a municipality located in the autonomous community of Cantabria, Spain. According to the 2007 census, the city has a population of 2,391 inhabitants.
It limits to the north with Medio Cudeyo, to the east with Riotuerto, to the south with Miera and to the west with Penagos. The Miera River runs through its territory, a flow that feeds the Liérganes spa. It also has a FEVE commuter service that connects it to Santander. It is named as one of the most beautiful towns in Spain.
