Mogro is a town in the municipality of Miengo (Cantabria, Spain). The place enjoys being a tourist enclave, due to its scenic beauty and its natural estuary in which the Pas River ends up in the Cantabrian Sea. Demographically speaking, with 1,317 inhabitants (INE 2008), it is the most populated town in the municipality. It is at an altitude of 45 meters, and 15 kilometers away from Santander, which has promoted the construction of dormitory houses due to its proximity to the capital of the province.
The parish church of San MartÃn from the 16th century and the Sanctuary of the Virgen del Monte, also from the 16th century, where the most important festivals of the municipality are celebrated.
