Somo is a town in Ribamontán al Mar, Cantabria (Spain). It had 1,704 inhabitants in 2019, according to the INE. It is the main tourist destination of the city council and one of the most important in the Autonomous Community. It communicates with Pedreña, in the municipality of Marina de Cudeyo, through the famous Somo Bridge. It is frequently communicated with Santander by boats. The main attraction is its long beaches, with one end in the sandy area of the strut, a huge tongue of dunes that juts out into the bay. Somo has a promenade from which you have beautiful views of the bay of Santander. The town offers a wide variety of tourist services and facilities. His party is, along with Loredo, the Virgin of Latas, on September 8.
