Situated just off the Penrith-Scotch Corner road, approximately seven miles from Penrith and Appleby.
The village of Culgaith has the advantage of being found on a promontory which overlooks the Lakeland Fells on the one side, and the Pennines on the other.
The small Wesleyan chapel was erected in 1830. Interesting walks can be taken around Culgaith Millrigg Bridge marked the boundry between the counties of Cumberland and Westmorland in one direction whilst in the opposite direction, the rivers Eden and Eamont meet.
